About
I have been interested in art throughout my life: I took private lessons as a teen, and attended a year at Langara College of Art and two years at Emily Carr School of Art and Design (in the photography department). My primary focus for a number of years was black-and-white photographic portraits.
After a challenging and fulfilling career of over 25 years as a Mental Health Counsellor, I retired in 2016. I am happy and excited to be able to focus time and energy on my art. My preferred subject matter is (and has always been) Portraiture, and my preferred medium is Oils.
I am an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, and have shown in a number of juried shows in their Granville Island Gallery. I am also a member of the Coast Cultural Alliance.
